Company Profile
The Ratkovich Company is a Los Angeles development company with a mission to "profitably produce developments that improve the quality of urban life". Specializing in urban infill and rehabilitation projects, the Company’s accomplishments range from large-scale urban planning and entitlement endeavors to retail, office, entertainment and mixed-use projects. The Ratkovich Company engages in both new development and the imaginative reuse of existing buildings - including eight buildings of historic landmark status.
The Company has completed, or has under development, over 13.0 million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties. Projects the Company has to its record include: The former C.F. Braun & Company office campus now known as The Alhambra; The James Oviatt Building; The Fine Arts Building; The Pellissier Building and Wiltern Theatre; Chapman Market; Ladera Center; an urban campus for the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; the City of Glendale’s Alex Theatre; and a variety of high technology complexes including the Irvine Technology Center and the Von Karman Corporate Center.
The Ratkovich Company has won numerous awards for its restoration of historic landmarks, including the Art Deco Wiltern Theatre and adjacent Pellissier Building, Chapman Market and Glendale's Alex Theatre. The renovated Oviatt and Fine Arts Buildings, both awarded national landmark status after successful renovations by the Company, are among the more elegant office structures in downtown Los Angeles.
