The Ratkovich Company and its employees has also provided development management for several not-for-profit agencies including the Downtown Womens Center and the Saint Barnabas Senior Center. The Downtown Womens Center involved the rehabilitation of an existing three-story concrete structure into 53 individual rooms, restrooms, a common area, and a reception area. Brenda Levin, of Levin and Associates, was the preservation architect for the Center which was designed specifically to meet the needs of the female homeless population in downtown Los Angeles. The Senior Center is an institutional type building located in the Mid-Wilshire district of Los Angeles designed to create a pleasant environment for the elderly.
